PDR is a specialized technique for removing dents from vehicle panels without disturbing the factory paint. We work the metal from behind the panel using rod tools and PDR-grade lighting, gradually massaging the dent back to its original contour. The result: zero filler, zero repaint, zero color match risk — your factory finish stays factory. PDR was invented at Mercedes-Benz in the 1960s for fixing assembly-line dings before the cars left the plant. The technique has only gotten better since.

Single door ding: $125 starting. Multiple dings on one panel: $150–350. Crease or body-line dent: $200–500. Hail or acorn coverage (heavy): $700–2,500+ or insurance comp claim with deductible only. Aluminum panels (BMW, Audi, Tesla, F-150) bill at 1.4x. We quote in writing before we start. The price you see is the price you pay — no estimates that grow on the day.

Almost certainly yes. PDR works on every major manufacturer (German, Japanese, American, Korean, Italian) and every panel material we see (steel, aluminum, magnesium accent panels). The three things that rule out PDR: cracked or chipped paint, severely bent panels (collision damage), or dents in inaccessible areas like sealed seams. About 90% of dents we look at are PDR-fixable. The other 10% we tell you on the spot — for free — and refer to a body shop we trust.

Use PDR when: paint is intact, the dent isn't on a sharp body line, and there's no metal tear. PDR is faster (hours vs. weeks), cheaper (30–50% less), and preserves resale value because the factory finish stays. Use a body shop when: paint is cracked or chipped, panels are bent past metal memory, or there's structural damage.
